We are proud to introduce for the first time in composite lay up, the Outer Island - designed in
1995 by paddler/designer Jay Babina, with performance, rolling ability, low windage and speed
as the main criteria. At 18 feet long, only 21 inches wide and with very little hull rocker,
it has loads of speed for touring. Its low rear deck makes it a perfect fit for the beginner
to advanced Eskimo roller. Soft chines allow for graceful control between steady primary
and secondary stability, allowing for increased success even when perfecting the most
challenging of Greenland rolls and braces. Whether you love this kayak for its
sheer elegance, fast touring, or as a rolling machine, we promise you will love it.
