Ask 100 people what kayaking is to them and you'll get 100 different
answers. However, lightweight, stable and simple are features many of
those people would want in their kayak. Chances are their explanation will
take them to the shores of the local lake or the marshy coves of a bay, or bravely
exploring the mouth of an open water inlet, feeling the pulse of the swell.
From these ideas we have drawn together the tradition of Impex Kayaks' and Formula Kayaks'
philosophies of lightweight, easy to paddle, more modestly priced composite kayaks to create
the Impex- Formula Series. Classic designs from both lines are combined to offer
a comprehensive line of composite kayaks. From light touring styles to models more than
comfortable in open water, we have covered all paddlers' needs. Throughout the line we use
our composite hatches, which keep weight much lower than similar sized kayaks, and help to keep
the Formula Series lower priced. These hatches are also larger to allow for easier access to
under-deck storage. Our shallow V hull offers the stability to enjoy the surroundings without
worrying about what the boat will do when a pair of binoculars is pulled from a dry bag, or a
fishing lure cast into a promising looking fishing hole.
