The Diamante is the ultimate all-purpose touring kayak. Additional rocker gives this classic kayak the ability to turn easier with less effort and edging. Improved maneuverability in 16'6" kayak appeals to both the entry-level kayaker, as well as the big water paddler. Since "touring" is the real key to this sport, this boat still tracks well and covers longer crossings efficiently. The retractable skeg gives the Diamante the ability to take on whatever Mother Nature can throw at it, even the stiffest beam sea conditions. However the quick turning allows for easier access to tight creek areas and the ability to skirt through rock gardens in even the roughest water. Two large composite hatches keep bulky loads stored below the deck and dry for overnighters and multi-day camping trips.
